A case of beating after stopping a wedding procession has come to light in Haripur village. The wedding processionists allege that dozens of people have forcibly stopped the wedding procession car in Haripur and assaulted them. However, the uproar outside the police station ended when the police took applications from the aggrieved parties in the case and assured action.
The injured in the incident have been identified as Saheb Paswan, Sudhir Paswan, Shrikant Paswan, Pramod Paswan, Ganesh Paswan, Jawahar Paswan, residents of Elas village of Alauli police station area. Aloli police station chief said that the police is taking action on the application of the aggrieved parties in the case.
Incident happened due to dispute over DJ playing
According to the application given by the victim parties in Alauli police station, the marriage procession was to go from Elas village of Alauli police station area to Batardiha village of Begusarai district. It is being told that when the procession left Elas village and reached near Haripur, some people stopped the DJ vehicle accompanying the procession and started pressurizing it to play. The dispute between the wedding party and the local people over this matter turned into a fight, in which about 6 people from the wedding party were injured.
